Billie is a B2B-only BNPL service operated by Germany's Billie GmbH, offering business buyers deferred invoicing and term payments. The most important premise is that it is not a payment method for individual consumers (B2C) — this guide covers what to review when selling to UK business customers.
The United Kingdom is not only one of Europe's largest consumer e-commerce markets but also one of the largest for B2B e-commerce and procurement. Billie is a German BNPL service specialized for business-to-business transactions: when a business buyer pays via deferred invoice, the seller is paid up front. Unlike B2C services such as Klarna and Clearpay, it is used only for transactions where the buyer is a business.
When Korean manufacturers, wholesalers, or SaaS companies selling to UK business customers face requests for net payment terms, Billie lets the buying company pay later while the seller still collects funds early. That said, Billie's core markets are the German-speaking region and continental Europe, so coverage for UK buying companies must be confirmed before signing a contract.
When a business buyer selects Billie's deferred payment option at checkout, Billie runs a real-time credit assessment of the buying company to decide on approval and the payment term. Once approved, the seller receives payment up front, and the buying company repays Billie within the invoice term. Hecto Financial intermediates this transaction and collects the GBP funds. Since this is not a personal card payment, a business credit review process applies instead of the UK-SCA card authentication flow.
Review is possible through Hecto Financial on the basis of a Korean entity, but because Billie is B2B-only, a sales structure premised on the buyer being a business (including business verification procedures) is required. UK market coverage and industry-specific support conditions must be confirmed before signing a contract.

Confirm whether a contract is available on the basis of a Korean business registration
The integration method and priority vary depending on your online sales channel mix — owned storefront, marketplaces, mobile app, and so on
Check in advance whether your product category falls under restricted industries per the Billie operator's merchant policy
Billie cannot be used for individual consumer payments. Also, since the United Kingdom is outside the EU (with its own FCA regulatory regime), the UK coverage of this German service must be confirmed before signing a contract
Funds paid by the buying company are collected in GBP and, after conversion by Hecto Financial, settled to the Korean merchant in whichever of USD, KRW, or JPY is specified in the contract. B2B transactions are not subject to the 14-day right of withdrawal that applies to individual consumers, but return and credit note handling and invoice cancellation terms should be confirmed together with Billie's policy before signing a contract.
Hecto Financial's team will work with you to review the right payment method mix for the UK market.
