Círculo K is the Mexican convenience store chain of the global Circle K brand, and its stores, located along urban commuting routes, are used as a channel for paying online order amounts in cash. This is an adoption guide for merchants handling small, high-frequency payments.
Cash collection still accounts for a substantial share of online payments in Mexico, and how close the payment counter is to a customer's daily routine determines the payment completion rate. Círculo K is the Mexican chain of the global convenience store brand Circle K, with stores located in high-foot-traffic areas of the metropolitan area and major cities, offering a short payment detour that customers can complete during their commute.
For merchants whose payment amounts are small and where immediacy matters, such as game items, streaming subscriptions, and small digital goods, Círculo K's urban convenience store-based payment fits well. A typical use case is configuring it as a secondary payment option for card-less users in app services targeting young, urban customers.
When a customer selects Círculo K as the payment method, a reference code is delivered on the order screen and by email. Scanning the code and paying in cash at an urban store checkout sends the collection data, and the order is finalized once Hecto Financial confirms the payment. Given that most payments are small in amount, confirmation generally happens within the same day, and an unpaid code expires once its validity period passes.
Korean merchants can review the Círculo K collection option through Hecto Financial's integration, without a separate contract in Mexico. Convenience store collection depends on the local payment collection network's list of partner chains, so the actual chain configuration that can be exposed and the fee terms are finalized during contract discussions.

Confirm contracting eligibility as a Korea-based business
Integration approach and priority vary depending on your mix of online sales channels, such as owned storefronts, marketplaces, and mobile apps
Advance confirmation is needed on whether your business falls under a restricted category per Círculo K's merchant policy
Confirmation is needed on compliance with Mexico's payment and foreign exchange regulations (see official sources below)
Cash collected at Círculo K stores is received in MXN and then converted, settling in whichever of USD, KRW, or JPY is designated in the contract. Peso settlement is not offered, and the settlement cycle follows the contract terms. Transactions requiring a refund are handled through a separate refund process rather than in-store, and given that this is cash collection, there is no chargeback risk.
Hecto Financial's team will help you review a payment method mix suited to the Mexican market.
