In Czech online payments, "bank transfer" usually means a remittance between CZK accounts, but the SEPA on this page is a method at a different layer. It is a one-off push transfer that attaches SEPA Credit Transfer (SCT) and Instant Credit Transfer (SCT Inst), governed by the European Payments Council (EPC), to the checkout via open banking payment initiation (PSD2 PIS), letting the customer complete payment with a single approval in their banking app: so-called "Pay by Bank." It differs from SEPA Direct Debit, the mandate-based automatic debit, and from manual remittance where you wait for the funds, and in the Czech Republic, where the koruna (CZK) is legal tender, the first step in any review is the premise that it works only for customers holding a euro (EUR) denominated account.
Czech Republic is a SEPA (Single Euro Payments Area) participant, but the starting point for considering SEPA is that its national currency is not the euro but the koruna (CZK). Open-banking-based SEPA Credit Transfer / Instant Credit Transfer is a scheme that operates on euro-denominated accounts, so it does not apply to the majority of general Czech consumers, for whom cards and CZK bank transfers are the two main pillars of payment, but it is effective for the subset of customers who use euro accounts or for business-to-business transactions. For CZK payments aimed at Czech consumers, the Online banking Czech Republic page's PSD2 open banking transfer is a better fit.
The practical review sequence is simple. Is the billing currency the euro, and does the paying party operate a euro account? When those two line up, a payment path opens for transactions such as euro-denominated SaaS subscription fees or cross-border business payments, confirmed on the spot with per-transaction approval alone and no mandate.
Taking SaaS billed in euros as an example, the flow runs as follows. When a client in Prague designates, on the payment page, the bank where they hold a euro account, the payment initiation service (PISP) brings up an approval screen in that bank's app or internet banking with the billed amount and payee details pre-filled. The moment the responsible person completes identity authentication, the transfer is initiated, and if both banks are connected via SCT Inst the funds come through within seconds, otherwise on the standard SCT schedule. Unlike sending an invoice and waiting for payment, success or failure is settled at the time of payment, so you can proceed straight to subscription renewal or service activation, and Hecto Financial converts the EUR received and settles it to the merchant in Korea in the contracted currency among USD, KRW, and JPY.
Even when targeting Czech Republic, SEPA is a scheme built on euro-denominated accounts, so when consulting with Hecto Financial you should first confirm your billing-currency design and the applicable customer scope (customers who hold a euro account). Contract eligibility and terms for a Korea-registered business vary by industry and transaction structure.

The settlement axis has three steps: receiving EUR from the customer's bank, conversion by Hecto Financial, and payout in the currency agreed at contract among USD, KRW, and JPY on the contracted cycle. Because it is a push transfer the customer sends themselves, neither the 8-week unconditional refund right attached to SEPA Direct Debit nor a card network chargeback comes into play. In exchange, a completed transfer is final, so when honoring a subscription cancellation refund or a Czech consumer's 14-day right of withdrawal, the merchant must execute a new transfer to the customer's account to return the funds, and if you billed in euros, designing refunds on a euro basis keeps management simpler.
Hecto Financial's team will work with you to review the right combination of payment methods for the Czech market.
